Our Mexican Riviera Dance Cruise 2017 DAY 5 was February 22, 2017 in Puerto Vallarta. We had beautiful weather and great tour guides and we met wonderful friendly people.

Jimmi and Dave Serfling went on an excursion with Mike B, Judy & Terry, Marc & Jan, Clay & Michelle and some other cruisers. We took a boat ride to hike, Snorkel, Swim, Ride horses and Donkeys into the forest and ate a local lunch on the beach. It was a packed day.

Our Mexican Riviera Dance Cruise 2017 DAY 4 was February 21, 2017 in Cabo San Lucas. This was a day of Sun and Fun.

There were many excursions and activities to choose from.

Jimmi and Dave Serfling along with several others in our Dance Cruise Group went on a Kayak excursion. Then we did a little shopping.

That evening at dinner the staff danced for us and some of the cruisers joined in.

After dinner there was a dance party on the pool deck.

And of course we had towel animals every night!

Mexican Riviera Dance Cruise 2017 DAY 2

Mexican Riviera Dance Cruise 2017 Day 2 Dance Cruise 2017

On Mexican Riviera Dance Cruise 2017 Day 2 the kids on the ship were having a scavenger hunt and they found Mike because he had a mustache and Jimmi and Linda were two Grandmas willing to do the Chicken Dance.

This was our first “Day At Sea”. So we had three 1-hour dance lessons in the Mad Hatter’s Lounge. About half the group came and learned some new dances and technique.

Our first formal dinner. We were so busy having fun we forgot to take more pictures.

Here are some pictures from the evening after dinner on our Mexican Riviera Dance Cruise 2017 Day 2

Mike Bello Turns 75

Mike Bello Turns 75 and throws a nice party at the Rockin’ Horse Dance Barn on December 3, 2016. In attendance were a few of his friends and family.

There was dinner, music and dancing. Mike danced with all the ladies for his birthday dance including his daughter-in-law Michelle and one of his grand-daughters Maddy. His sons Mike and Marc brought their wives Angie and Michelle up from California and Nevada. It was a great evening and Jimmi and Dave Serfling presented Mike with a custom silver belt buckle with the Rockin’ Horse Dance Barn logo on it.

Halloween Dance 2016

Halloween Dance 2016

halloween dance 2016 jeanneOur Halloween Dance 2016 was on October 28th. It was the Friday night before Halloween.

All through the Rockin’ Horse Dance Barn it was eerily dark, when gradually there was a trickle of ghouls and beasts and people with missing parts.

The numbers increased and the monsters varied still more, and soon there was a line at the front desk and out the front door.

We did what we could and taught them to dance, and some looked great if but just at a glance.

There was food and treats for everyone there, it was hard to look at the costumes and not stare.

As the dancing progressed and the costumed guests got hot, we cooled it down and did the Foxtrot.

Although some dancers were new and some dancers were not, it didn’t stop them from giving it their best shot.

We had a costume parade to get a good look, at all the great costumes and wondered at how long it must have took.

So if you are wondering if next year you should attend, well by all means and of course because this annual event will never end.

Seattle Line Dance Instructions

Seattle Line Dance Instructions

Having never tried line dancing before, my roommate and I sought out some Seattle Line Dance Instructions recently. The concept may be easy, but even in the beginner dances we found ourselves lost at moments. Now that we have a few classes under our belts though, I think that we are ready to go out and Line Dance at the Rockin’ Horse Dance Barn in Renton, WA.

Many people think that line dancing is only done to Country or Western music, but that is simply not the case. Line dancing is choreographed dance steps that people do while standing in lines and can be performed to a variety of music—from Top 40 to classical. Due to the nature of line dancing, you don’t need a partner and it is a great way to meet new people.
